Jens Lehmann is a former Premier League and German international goalkeeper.

Jens started his career with Schalke 04, scoring twice in his decade-long spell at the club in which he won the 1997 UEFA Cup Final.

He went on to play for A.C.Milan and Borussia Dortmund, winning the Bundesliga in 2001-2002 before joining Arsenal for the 2003-2004 season. Jens was a member of Arsenal’s Invincibles, playing every match in their unbeaten title-winning season.

He later turned out for VFB Stuttgart where he retired from football in June 2010, however, due to an injury crisis at Arsenal, he re-signed for the Gunners in March 2011 on a rolling contract. Jens made one last appearance for the first team before re-announcing his retirement.

On the international scene, Jens made his debut in 1998 and went on to earn 61 caps for his country, including appearances in the 2002 and 2006 World Cups.

During his playing career, Jens was voted UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year for the 1996–97 and 2005–06 seasons. He also holds the UEFA Champions League record for the most consecutive clean sheets, having not conceded a goal in 10 matches whilst at Arsenal.

Since retiring, Jens has become a notable TV pundit, working as a commentator for Sky Germany at the 2010 World Cup and writing exclusive columns for during the UEFA Euro 2012. More recently he worked as an expert analyst for RTL Television on Euro 2016.

Jens is a board member of the youth football foundation Stiftung Jugendfußball. He also acts as an ambassador and board member for the Laureus foundation.

Outside of football, his other talents include a brief foray into the acting scene, where he made his film debut in the German/South African production Themba, playing Big John Jacobs.

He also has an Economics degree from the University of Münster which he completed whilst continuing his playing career.
