Atlanta is captain of Southampton. At the international level, she represents Jamaica and was a key part of the Reggae Girlz' historic campaign at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Atlanta Primus is a professional football player and captain for Southampton in the WSL2, also representing Jamaica at international level.
Born on April 21, 1997, in London, began her football journey in Chelsea’s youth academy before moving to the U.S. to play college soccer at California State University, Fullerton. During her time there, she became the program’s all-time assist leader, MVP, and team captain, showcasing her leadership and playmaking abilities.
In 2020, she returned to England, signing for London City Lionesses, where she played for three seasons. In 2023, she joined Southampton before moving on loan to Charlton Athletic, choosing to wear the number 35 jersey in honour of her father, former footballer Linvoy Primus.
At the international level, Primus represented England at youth levels before committing to Jamaica in 2021. She made her senior debut against Costa Rica and was part of Jamaica’s squad for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, helping the team achieve their historic first points in the tournament.
