Michael Carrick Foundation

Newcastle born and bred, Michael has always had a deep-rooted passion for football which began at the age of just four years old, when he started attending Wallsend Boys Club.

The Club supports young people by unlocking their sporting potential, developing their skills and resilience and helping them to become positive figures in their community.

Through his time at Wallsend and his experience growing up in an area of deprivation, Michael learnt the skills and discipline needed to not only become a professional footballer, but a dedicated and respected role model. Michael strongly believes that his achievements would not have been possible without the support and services that were available to him, both on and off the pitch.

It's this belief that has inspired Michael to give something back and is the platform for which The Michael Carrick Foundation was built.

Through his Foundation, Michael is committed to providing opportunities for youngsters to thrive in communities close to his heart, Greater Manchester and Tyne and Wear.
