Born in East London, with the sport in her DNA, Halle Houssein has had a football glued to her feet since childhood.

Having been spotted by Arsenal Academy talent scouts at just four years-old, the midfielder rose through the ranks to make her WSL debut for the North Londoners at 16, in a 4-0 win over Reading. The success of her first season didn’t stop there, as she appeared multiple times on the bench in the Women’s Champions League.

Alongside the early achievements with Arsenal, Halle has represented England at U15, U18 and U19 levels, going on to captain the U18s in friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Austria.

In the summer of 2022, after a brief loan spell the previous season, Halle signed for West Ham. As a lifelong fan this was exciting, all to be made even more exciting as she scored on her debut in the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup against Chelsea.

Off the pitch, Halle remains focused on her studies and will complete her A-Levels in English Literature, Psychology and Physical Education this summer. Halle is also a vegan, to which she talks about the physical benefits she has felt from the diet change. Alongside all of this, she also has keen interests in charity work, spending time with her family and streetwear.
