Jemma is an experienced defender for Newcastle United, previously playing in the WSL for Liverpool, Bristol City, and Leicester City. A decorated former England youth international, she enjoyed a collegiate career in the United States, earning All-American honours and a degree in Sport and Exercise Science, before returning to the UK as a reliable and versatile defensive asset.
Jemma is a professional footballer who plays for Newcastle United Women. A versatile defender, she brings significant experience from across the Women's Super League, Women's Championship and international youth football.
Jemma began her career with Doncaster Rovers Belles, becoming the club's youngest-ever signing and Women's Super League player at the time. She represented England at U15, U17, U19 and U23 level, competing in two UEFA Women's European Championship finals before moving to the United States in 2015.
During her collegiate career, Jemma captained both South Alabama and Arizona State, earning Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year and All-American honours. After graduating with a first-class degree in Sport and Exercise Science, she returned to England and went on to play for Liverpool, Bristol City, Leicester City and Southampton before joining Newcastle United in 2025.
