Josie Green is a Welsh international midfielder who plays for Crystal Palace and is recognised for her leadership, consistency and professionalism both on and off the pitch.
Josie began her senior career with Watford before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2015. During her six years with Spurs, she helped the club achieve promotion to the Women's Super League and signed her first professional contract ahead of the club's inaugural WSL campaign. She went on to serve as vice-captain before being appointed club captain in 2020. Following her time at Tottenham, Josie joined Leicester City before making the move to Crystal Palace.
Internationally, Josie has been a mainstay for Wales since making her senior debut at just 16 years old during a FIFA Women's World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan in 2011. In 2025, she was part of the Wales squad that made history by qualifying for and competing in the nation's first-ever UEFA Women's European Championship, marking a landmark moment for Welsh football.
Away from the pitch, Josie studied Education at St Mary's University and worked as a PE and Geography teacher before committing to football full-time. She is also a passionate advocate for wellbeing and has incorporated yoga into her training and lifestyle for many years, using it to support both her physical performance and mental resilience.
