LIAM LOFTUS

Liam is a sports presenter, reporter, producer and content creator who has built a reputation for delivering engaging coverage from some of the world’s biggest sporting events, including the Olympic Games, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Women’s Champions League Finals, UEFA Euro 2020, FIFA Women’s World Cup, Wimbledon and the Commonwealth Games.

While studying at Sheffield Hallam University in 2016, Liam began working for Manchester City, presenting content for the club’s Snapchat channel. He went on to present for the Manchester City Kids app before becoming a social media producer and presenter, launching the club’s first TikTok channel and helping shape its digital content strategy.

In 2020, Liam joined BBC Sport as its first digital presenter, helping launch the BBC Sport TikTok channel. The following year, he contributed to the BBC’s coverage of UEFA Euro 2020, bringing one of football’s biggest tournaments to digital audiences.

Since then, Liam has established himself across television, digital and live sport. He has worked on BBC coverage of the Commonwealth Games boxing in 2022, Wimbledon in 2023, including interviews with Markéta Vondroušová and Carlos Alcaraz, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup final between England and Spain.

In 2024, Liam was part of BBC Sport’s digital team at the Paris Olympic Games, interviewing athletes including Tom Daley, Keely Hodgkinson and Henrik Christiansen. He has also worked with DAZN on the UEFA Women’s Champions League Finals in 2024 and 2025, the FIFA Club World Cup in 2025, and covered the Carabao Cup semi finals and final for SportyTV in 2026. In summer 2026, he is part of the Wimbledon reporting team for the BBC.
