Malaika is a dynamic midfielder for Ipswich town who previously developed in the Arsenal and Chelsea academies before playing collegiate soccer at Wake Forest University. An England youth international, Malaika also runs a charitable initiative collecting and sending football boots and kit to grassroots communities in Tanzania.

Malaika Meena is a dynamic midfielder currently playing for Ipswich Town Women in the WSL2.

She began her football journey in the academies of Arsenal and Chelsea, before heading to the United States to play collegiate soccer at Wake Forest University in North Carolina. Over three and a half seasons, she made 65 appearances and became a key part of their midfield setup.

Internationally, Meena has represented England at youth level and was called up to the England Under-23 squad in 2025 – a testament to her continued development and performances.

Off the pitch, Malaika is passionate about giving back. She regularly collects and sends football boots and kit to Tanzania, supporting grassroots communities and helping to grow the game for young players in the region.
