Renée Hector is the current manager of Watford FC Women and a UEFA B Licensed coach, bringing years of experience as both a player and leader on and off the pitch. Before moving into management, Renée enjoyed a successful playing career with clubs including Tottenham Hotspur Women, Charlton Athletic W.F.C., and Watford.

During her time at Spurs, she played a vital role in the club’s historic 2016/17 season—winning four trophies and helping secure promotion to the Women’s Super League for the first time. She was also named Tottenham Hotspur's PFA Community Champion for the 2017/18 season, recognising her work off the pitch.

Renée made her media debut during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, appearing on BBC’s Victoria Derbyshire Show and BBC World Service. She has since become a strong voice in the fight against racism in football, featuring in the BBC’s Shame in the Game documentary and speaking on high-profile panels with organisations like Kick It Out.

After a serious ACL injury in 2020 sidelined her for over a year, Renée returned to playing in early 2022 with the same authority and composure she was known for before. Later that year, she earned her UEFA B Licence, laying the foundation for her move into coaching and now management.

Off the pitch, Renée is a natural performer with a background in the arts—she sings, plays guitar, and once performed at the O2 Indigo as part of a band. Her charisma, resilience, and football intelligence continue to shape her evolving legacy in the women’s game.

In 2025, Renée was recognised on the prestigious Football Black List for her outstanding contributions to the game both on and off the pitch.
