SHANNON COOKE

Shannon Cooke is an English professional footballer, renowned for her defensive prowess and leadership on the field. She embarked on her football journey with Arsenal's Academy in 2014. Her tenure at Arsenal was marked by significant achievements, including captaining the U20 team to a league and FA Cup double in 2016. ​

In 2018, Shannon moved to the United States to further her career and education at Louisiana State University (LSU). Over five seasons with the LSU Tigers, she made 94 appearances and netted nine goals, serving as team captain in her final two years.

Shannon also has some international experience. She represented England at various youth levels, including the U17 and U19 squads, gaining valuable experience on the international stage.

In January 2023, Shannon returned to England, signing a long-term contract with West Ham United. She quickly established herself as a key defender, making 19 Women's Super League appearances in the 2023/24 season and scoring a memorable late equaliser against Aston Villa in April 2024.

Seeking further development and playing opportunities, Shannon joined Birmingham City on loan in January 2025, aiming to contribute to their success in the Women's Championship in the 24/25 season.
